Our Program
Who qualifies
House of Hope is designed for adults who can live on their own and want the comfort and affordability of a shared home. We welcome seniors 65+, veterans and other independent adults who need a steady place to live.
House of Hope provides shared housing only. We do not provide medical or personal care services.
To live with us, residents should:
- Have a steady monthly income, such as SSI, SSDI, VA benefits, a pension, retirement or employment
- Be able to get around on their own, at home and in the community
- Be able to make their own day-to-day decisions
- Manage their own personal care (ADLs)
- Manage their own medications
- Manage their own meals and daily routines

House rules
- Treat every housemate, guest and neighbor with respect.
- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- No illegal drugs, weapons or violence on the property.
- No smoking or vaping inside the home.
- Keep your room, the bathrooms and the shared spaces clean and tidy.
- Clean up after yourself in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area.
- Respect other residents' privacy, belongings and food.
Move-in process
- Schedule and complete a tour of the home.
- Fill out a residency application.
- Review and sign the residency agreement and house rules.
- Pay the first month's rent before move-in.
- Receive your keys and a walkthrough of the home.
Rent & payments
- No late payments. Rent is always due on your scheduled date.
- Your monthly rate includes your room, utilities and Wi-Fi.
- If you expect a problem paying, talk to us before the due date.
Guests & visitors
- Visitors are welcome during daytime hours.
- No overnight guests.
- Residents are responsible for the behavior of their guests.
Shared spaces & chores
- Kitchen, living room, bathrooms and laundry are shared by all residents.
- Utilities are shared among everyone living in the home.
- Chores in common areas, including the bathrooms, are shared on a simple schedule.
- Report any repairs or maintenance needs right away.
Concerns & emergencies
- Bring any concern or disagreement to the owner so it can be handled fairly.
- In an emergency, call 911 first, then let us know.
- Every resident should keep an emergency contact on file.
Moving out
- Please give at least 30 days' written notice before moving out.
- Leave your room clean and return all keys.
- Breaking house rules may end your residency, as outlined in your agreement.
